RE- ADVERTISMENT
Invitation to Tender for Three- years Ferry Management service
Agreement to operate the M.V.”Mahera” and provide a Schedule Ferry service between Freetown and Targrin.
The Government of Sierra Leone has agreed a re-structuring programme with the Sierra Leone Port Authority under which the provision of non-core services will be offer to the private sector. The Freetown- Targrin ferry service, currently provided by the M.V. “Mahera”, has been identified as one of these non-core services.
Accordingly, the National Commission for Privatization (NCP) hereby invites parties interested in operating the “Mahera” under a three-year Ferry Management Services. Agreement with government to register their interest with NCP. Registered bidders will:
Receive an Information Memorandum, providing a description of existing service, the market in which it operates, the history and current status of M.V. “Mahera”, personnel and crewing arrangements, etc;
Receiving an Invitation to Tender dossier, indicating the arrangement for the submission of bids to enter into the proposed Ferry Management Services Agreement;
Have the opportunity to undertake their own Due Diligence and inspect the Ferry the ferry operation and associated assets, particularly M.V. “Mahera”.
To register interest, forward your registration fee of Le3, 000 000 00 (orUS$1,000 00) PAYABLE TO “The National Commission for Privatization”, to;

Please provide name and address of the prospective tenderer and indicate “Ferry Service Registration of Interest”.
Bidders who had originally submitted bids need not re-register.
Note that only those parties who have duly registered their interest will be provided with the Information Memorandum, ITT and access to undertake Due Diligence procedures. Further, tenders will only be accepted from duly registered bidders.
The deadline for the receipt of tenders for the operation of M.V.”Mahera” under three-year Ferry Management Services Agreement is 13th June 2006.
