INVITATION FOR BIDS:
The Government of sierraleone has received financing from the world bank towards the cost of sierraleone power and water project, and it intend to apply part of the proceeds towards payment under the contract for the supply and installation work for repairs and construction of the western area transmission and distribution network.
The national power authority now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for contract no. TD/INF/33KV/01, to supply, install and commission electrical equipment, overhead line materials and acceceries and rehabilitation of transmission and distribution line qualities of materials to be supplied are assorted. The project location is Western Area, Sierraleone and West Africa. The delivery/ construction period is 12 months.
Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures as specified in the world bank’s guidelines: procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, (May 2004), and is open to all eligible bidder as defined in the guidelines.
Technical and Commercial Evaluation will be used too select the Successful Bidders. The technical evaluation criteria will be based on the substantial responsiveness to the technical Specifications and Drawings, performance, long term availability of spear parts and maintenances services.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents from the National Power Authority at the address below Electricity House. 36 Siaka Steven Street, Freetown, Sierra Leone during office hours 0900 to 1700 hours.
A complete set of bidding document in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of written application to the address below and upon payment of non-refundable fee of two Hundred United States Dollars(US$200). The method of payment will be by Telegraphic Transfer to Standard Charted Bank SL Limited,Lightfoot Boston Street, Dollar Account Number 0100100015800, swift Code: SCBLSLFR. The document will be sent by airmail/DNL at the bidder’s Expense for overseas delivery and surface mail or courier for local delivery.
All bids must be accompanied be a bid security of 2 % of bid price or an equivalent amount in a freely convertibly currency and delivered to the address below by 11:00 hours on June 15, 2006. they will be opened immediately thereafter. In the presences of bidders representatives, who choose to attend, at the address below. Late bids will be rejected.
